Brethertons is delighted to announce that they have been judged as the top legal service firm and arrears recovery provider in the country for the property management industry.
The firm fought off tough competition to be shortlisted, and was announced as the winner of two categories, ‘Legal Services Award’ and ‘Arrears Recovery Company of the Year’ at the prestigious News on the Block Property Management Awards (PMA) 2016 held at Wembley on 1 December.
Retaining their 2015 title, the Legal Services Award focussed on the comprehensive legal support that Brethertons offers property management companies in every aspect of their operations; from the corporate matters in the day-to-day running of their business, through commercial property transactions, mergers and acquisitions, debt recovery and employment relations, to the more specialised leasehold, and landlord and tenant legislation.
Arrears Recovery of the Year was a new category for 2016 and focused on the firm’s established Property Management team who work with a large portfolio of managing agents, management companies, freeholders and landlords to recover outstanding service charges, ground rent and other property-related charges.
The Property Management Awards, in their 8th year, recognise and celebrate excellence in the UK Property Management industry, with each award assessed by an independent judging panel in advance of the ceremony. There is also a public voting system which counts to 25% towards the choice of the overall winner.
Head of Practice Area, Debbie Phillips exalts: “I’m just thrilled for my team; they work so hard to achieve the very best results for our clients. Winning these awards and the recognition within the industry they bring is testament to their outstanding commitment and customer service.”
Brethertons acts for hundreds of landlords and has particular experience in property management, advising many companies in the industry throughout the UK as well as resident associations and leaseholders alike.
The Firm runs a calendar of approximately 30 training webinars for the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA), and each year holds a weekend conference, Property Management Unwrapped, which covers hot topics in the residential leasehold sector.
