My day to day role includes taking instructions from clients as to how they would like be to progress their matter, advising them in respect of any Defence which has been lodged, drafting Applications to Court, drafting Witness Statements in support of claims, preparing Instructions to Counsel and preparing Court bundles. I also correspond with Courts and opposition and handle Mediations where appropriate. One of my main roles is Enforcement of County Court Judgments. I mainly enforce these Judgments by way of Charging Order Applications, Attachment of Earnings, County Court Bailiffs and/or Order for Questionings.
I joined Brethertons in 2006 and have worked in various departments during this time. I started work in Office Services and then moved to the Property Management department where I assisted with the recovery of Ground Rent and Service Charge arrears. I then progressed to dealing with the issuing of County Court proceedings and enforcement.
I am frequently called upon to assist various departments within the firm with their non-English speaking customers or to provide translations with Urdu and Punjabi clients.
