I work closely with my fellow partners to ensure financial security, to drive profitable growth, and to support the inclusive and caring culture at Brethertons.
My wonderful team and I work diligently to protect and improve the financial health of Brethertons; we provide accurate management information to support robust, sensible decision making, and continual improvement, ensuring strong financial control and the management of risk. Our overarching remit is to protect and support the firm financially and importantly to protect the money that we hold on behalf of our clients in respect of their legal work.
I joined Brethertons in May 2016, initially to work on finance transformation projects. I was appointed as Head of the Finance and Risk practice area in March 2017. In early 2017, I was approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to be the designated COFA for Brethertons (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration).
I qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2000 and became a fellow of the ACCA in 2005. I have more than 30 years’ experience of working in finance including 25 years in management positions, and over 22 years in the legal industry. I have been fortunate to have mainly worked within fast-paced, progressive companies.
I am passionate about individualised personal development, and I believe that strong values and being happy in what we do is key to personal and professional success.
