This week we celebrate National Apprenticeship week at Brethertons. We have had many Apprentices join and develop with us over the years, including myself! We are proud of the investment we make in our Apprentices from starting out on their career journey to the support we provide to them through their journey as a Brethertonian. This investment really allows us to live up to our value of ‘Personal Development’.
We asked our Legal Assistant Apprentice Scarlett Rothery – Residential Conveyancing to tell us more about her Apprenticeship and why she decided to join Brethertons…
What attracted you to Brethertons?
I wanted to do an apprenticeship and Brethertons offered me a way into a meaningful, professional role while earning a competitive salary. The website and initial contact confirmed that I was in the right place.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
My typical day is busy. I deal with a wide range of administrative tasks for a number of Lawyers, meet clients on a daily basis and continue to find myself doing new things.
What support do you get from Brethertons and your Apprenticeship provider?
Brethertons are aware and considerate of my apprenticeship while most of the work for it is handled by the provider. Due to a change of educator, there have been some gaps and some catching up is needed but I am confident that I will be supported to do this.
Describe Brethertons in 3 words?

What advice would you give to someone looking to start an Apprenticeship?
It gives an opportunity that would be difficult to come by. It will likely be challenging at times but the personal development and career opportunities it provides is well worth it.
Keep an eye on our careers section of our website for any Apprenticeship vacancies we have in the future. Please contact me if you would like some further information on lucybrown@brethertons.co.uk or 01295661444.
