The February BBNC lunch meeting welcomes back Ian Rowe from Atlantic Experience to give an unique insight into ocean rowing including a tour of his boat where you can climb aboard!
For those of you who missed Ian at our last event, his presentation covers his part in an attempt to become the first boat in history to row unsupported across 3,000 miles of the Atlantic Ocean in under 30 days.
Don’t worry if you were not at the November meeting as Ian will give a short synopsis to catch everyone up to the moment where he left us, as the boat capsized! The February meeting will not only give you the opportunity to climb aboard the very boat that was crewed, we will also find out what happened next and how the team recovered from disaster and how the lessons learned can be applied to your business!
Ian is an inspirational speaker with a style that is relaxed yet gripping, casual but compelling, witty yet savage. Audiences will be captivated, energised and engaged; most importantly they will be left with a new insight into their own capability, their potential and their importance in the world.
The talks are complimented by Ian’s own family and business experience plus his work with Olympic rowing champions and each talk is tailored to the audience to give a unique insight into ocean rowing and how the highs and lows, challenges and setbacks relate directly to ‘normal’ life, both at work and at home.
