Should we Stay or Go? The EU Referendum Debate!
We have all received the Government’s £9million leaflet and some of you may (like me) have been plagued by unsolicited YouTube propaganda on the matter. David Cameron says that it is a “once in a generation decision” and with high stakes indeed, there seems little doubt that this is one debate that is about to get very serious, leading up to the 23rd June vote.
To help you along in your decision making, the May meeting of Rugby Does Breakfast welcomes two leading business individuals to argue the case for your vote in the upcoming EU referendum.

On behalf of 'Stronger In' - Adam Shuter, Exact Logistics
Adam Shuter worked in the international logistics industry for major players including TNT, Acumen and Palletways before he and Karen Shuter established Exact Logistics in 2009 in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Adam has huge experience in European transport. He has worked with multi-national companies in the automotive sector, run his own businesses with European subsidiaries and set up country and pan-European pallet networks. This experience spans over 35 years from the start of the express freight industry until its current format today.
He has spent many years working in the German parcels and freight markets giving him expertise in that market which is now being put to use in Exact Logistics. As well as understanding the German industry, he learned the cultural nuances of the logistics industry in the country. Compared to other UK operators this experience has given him unparalleled expertise in the German market.
Exact Logistics exports a service by providing a “final mile” palletised freight distribution service across the UK for German customers. From these relationships Exact has established strong links with the German market and has replicated its UK business model by becoming a shareholder in CTL, Germany’s most dynamic transport system. These resources mean that Exact Logistics also works for many Warwickshire businesses so they can deliver cost-effectively and reliably to their European customers.
On behalf of 'Better Off Out' - Simon Richards, The Freedom Association
Simon is Chief Executive of The Freedom Association, of which he has been a Member since 1976, when he joined as a school student. With Mark Wallace and Christopher Gill, Simon set up the Better Off Out campaign in 2006, to put the positive case for leaving the European Union. Born in Llandaff, Cardiff, Simon was educated at Llandaff Cathedral School, then Shrewsbury School.
He read History at King’s College, London, where he was Chairman of the Conservative Association, a sabbatical student union officer and National ViceChairman of the Federation of Conservative Students. Simon has worked in retailing and marketing, in both private and public sectors. Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, he enjoys having one foot in the Westminster Village and the other firmly planted in the real world beyond. Simon describes himself as a Thatcherite, with a strong belief in individual freedom and tolerance. He tweets at @SimplySimonTFA
