1. How long have you been at Brethertons?
I have been working at Brethertons for around 7 months now, I started on the 15th July 2019.
2. What career path have you taken so far?
I am a Coventry University student, studying Business and Marketing currently on my placement year, working full time at Brethertons.
3. What attracted you to Brethertons?
Being a law firm, what attracted me the most was the opportunity to learn about Services Marketing rather than Product Marketing. The two are very different and require a different approach when producing marketing materials. My University course is heavily based on theories that apply more to product marketing, so I followed this path in order to have a 360 degree view on Marketing and gain more knowledge.
4. What has kept you at Brethertons?
How amazingly supportive the people are and how much more knowledge I have developed over the past few months. It's an amazing place to start your career in Marketing as you have so many opportunities to develop.
5. As a Marketing and CRM assistant at Brethertons, what do you do?
I am responsible for a range of different tasks that change from day to day depending on projects. From a CRM perspective I manage the Client Satisfaction Forms that come back from our clients but also monitor our general marketing email address where we get a wide range of enquiries. From the Marketing side of my role I design and update our marketing materials such as: brochures, flyers or banners. I liaise with printing suppliers and establish relationships with them. I take on different projects to do with keywords and SEO improvements for our blogs and website. I am also in charge of our company instagram account which we are currently looking to build. Event planning is also a responsibility of the Marketing team and one of the most exciting tasks as well. The list can go on forever as the diversity of the department is extensive and because we offer marketing assistance to each practice area, our daily tasks can be varied.
6. What is the highlight of your career at Brethertons?
Without a doubt the highlight of my career so far is being offered a permanent contract!
7. What is the best thing about your role?
The best thing about my role is the fact that I have been offered the support to learn so many new things and have been given the responsibility that comes with them as well. I believe my experience here has put into perspective all the information I have gained at University, which has proved to be invaluable for me.
8. What do you enjoy most about working at Brethertons?
I enjoy being surrounded by lovely and positive people that support each other. Working in an environment that I enjoy, makes coming to work something I look forward to.
