In recent times, Bicester has seen a raft of upgrades to the town centre including the new cinema, shopping area and a large supermarket. That was phase one of the Council’s plan to modernise the town.
At Brethertons, we’ve been eagerly following the developments as they unfold with one eye on the future, and in particular, phase two. Phase two includes the development of Franklins Yard into Franklins House – a chapter which moved ever-nearer to completion a few days ago when the last brick of the new building was laid into place.
We’re particularly interested in this stage of the redevelopment as Brethertons will be moving to our new home in Franklins House once the building has been finished next Spring. Our new neighbours will include a hotel, the Council offices, a library and retail outlets. There has been a solicitors office at 68 Sheep Street since 1963 and Neasham Lloyd was formed there in 1995. Many of our staff have worked in the building for many years and we have very fond memories of our time here. However, as we move into a new era for the firm, the time is right to modernise our office space to make it more accessible and appealing to our clients.
The decision to move has been made for the benefit of staff, colleagues and above all else, for the benefit of our clients and our local community. The new offices allow us to accommodate more staff, including specialist Commercial and Private Client departments, but still keep us at the heart of the Bicester community.
We’re excited to be progressing into this new era and look forward to welcoming new and existing clients to our new home. Our focus continues to be the delivery of an excellent level of service to each of our clients and our new home allows us to do that by offering an accessible and friendly location right in the heart of the town.
